The first wobbly steps

Well- I have been saying that I feel like Abby is morphing into a toddler before my eyes lately. Today, I guess you could say that she officially did, as she took her first series of wobbly steps. The first time, she had a surprised look on her face. After that, she just looked proud and overjoyed! She even squealed with excitement one time. Unfortunately, daddy wasn't here to see this, as he is flying. :( When he gets back, we will have to take some video and attempt to upload it for all to see.

10th month

Abby is turning eleven months tomorrow!! I really cannot believe she will be a year old in a month... I thought I would post a few miscellaneous pictures from her tenth month.

Daddy with his little girl.....

Abby in her splash pool....

Finger-walking with Grandpa in the yard.....

Watermellon, anyone?

Vultures

Our dogs have turned into vultures. Even Sydney has suddenly taken an interest in Abby; she usually could care less. Below, you can see pictures of Abby attempting to eat a snack!

Abby was rather amused by them!

Smiling in the rain

Have I mentioned that our child loves water? I can tell you Abby did not get this from me. Whether it is the bath, a fountain, a swimming pool or the dog's water bowl, count Abby in!! I guess we can also include rain and puddles in the equation!

Grandma Sue and I were sitting with Abby on the back porch today, as it rained outside. Abby kept crawling toward the back door, wanting to go outside. Grandma put Abby's hand out in the rain, thinking it would deter her from wanting to go in the yard. Not this child...... What the heck- I decided to let her crawl around on the outdoor patio before her bath. Did she ever! She cracked us up, as she crawled around with glee. :)

Grandpa Jones's 60th birthday

In honor of Grandpa Jones's 60th birthday, which is today, I thought I would post a few pictures from his surprise celebration. We had a little party when he was in town. As you can see, Abby was practicing for her own big birthday, which is a little over a month away! Happy Birthday Grandpa Jones!

Abby in the swing

There is a nice little playground in our neighborhood. Abby & I sometimes walk to it so she can go in the baby swing. Here are a few pictures.

Abby goes to the zoo

Below are a few pictures of Tye and Abby splashing around in the water fountain. Abby LOVED this. The child just loves the water- hopefully it stays this way! She was hilarious to watch and we were laughing so hard. Abby enjoyed getting sprayed in the face with water. She smiled, kicked her legs and squealed with delight. Things started out dignified, but by the end of this, Abby was soaked.

Here are a couple of pictures of Tye and Abby, riding on the carousel.

Well- I keep trying to upload video to show Abby soaking wet and crawling around in the water fountain. I have tried a bunch of times and it just isn't working. Maybe later :(

Whoa-Look at those waves!

Grandpa Jones is visiting this week. Grandpa, Abby & I went for a walk over by the beach in "Delray", which is the city where we live. As you can see, Abby was a bit overwhelmed by the ocean waves. She just kept staring in awe!

Below are some pictures of me and Abby. While mommy posed, Abby remained a bit preoccupied by the waves!!

Video of Abby brushing her teeth!

Here is a video from a few weeks ago. I have been trying to add more to this post, but I am not having success lately. This is a video of Abby brushing her teeth-- well-- sort of!

Cousin William with Miss Abby

Here are a few pictures of my nephew William with Abby. He was taking good care of her when we over to Gaga & Papa's for Tye's birthday dinner; thus, the party hats! :)

Guess who is crawling out the dog door...

Look who is crawling out the dog-door, and I am not talking about Maggie or Sydney. Our little mover & shaker has figured out how to exit, stage left. As you can imagine, she did this over and over again today. Here are some pictures. I am going to attempt to attach a video to the bottom as well, for those who are interested.

Sydney is thinking -that is MY door!!

From the other side.......

Abby with Maggie, pondering her big accomplishment and considering another escape!
