Shower for baby Dean

Jennifer & Leslie (in the last picture below) hosted a lovely baby shower at one of my favorite restaurants on the beach, to celebrate baby Dean's upcoming arrival. It was a very low key and intimate shower, with lots of laughs and great company thanks to some close friends & my momma. It really hit home that the boy is coming soon; I am 36 weeks & in the home stretch. Yikes!

On another note, I think there are more shots of me on this particular post than there are within the entire blog, so bear with the belly shots! I was determined to document the belly for Abby & Dean to ensure that they see mommy in prego form.

Fourth of July Weekend

We used Marriott points & stayed on the beach in Delray for the night. For those who were at our wedding, it is the same hotel. It was the perfect setup! The band played across the street below us where all the festivities were taking place and we scored a room on the beach.

Here are a couple of pictures of Abby and her "BFF" Connelly in the pool. Connelly is planting a kiss on Abby; she always gives Abby hugs and kisses. The two of them are so cute together :) and we feel fortunate to have found Abby such a sweet BFF who lives nearby and is so close in age (2 weeks apart!).

Here is the view from our room. The fireworks were initiated from the barge you can see in the first picture below. It was the perfect location for watching the fireworks, and also the perfect controlled setting for Abby's first 4th of July experience. At first, she said "no fireworks" and wanted to go inside the room. From there, Abby seemed to have mixed feelings. She wanted to go out with daddy to watch them, but when it got really loud, she preferred looking through the window. Abby got more into the show as it progressed, and began to point out the colors of the fireworks and mimick us by saying, "pretty fireworks".

When she woke up the next day and we asked her what she thought of the fireworks, she said, "more fireworks" and looked out the window.

Here are a couple of pics of us while walking around with Abby.

Uncle Donnie, Aunt Leslie, Thomas Cole and baby Torin came up to play the next day. Thomas and Abby had a good time together, as you can see!!!
