Baptism Lunch for Dean

Dean's baptism

Our sweet little boy was baptized last weekend. Dean was such a good boy, even though he missed his morning nap. Dr. Bush, who married us 7 years ago and did Abby's baptism a little over 2 years ago, baptized Dean as well. Dean seemed a little timid at first but quickly sunk into Dr. Bush's arms. It was such a sacred moment as you can see from the first picture below.....

Tye is the big 40

Well... We had a party for Tye's BIG birthday this year. You only turn 40 once right? We and several other couples got rooms at the W hotel in Fort Lauderdale for the festivities. We had so much fun lounging around the pool by day, and hanging in the hotel suite and restaurant/bars by night. Thank you to all who were able to come and join in for Tye's big party. :) Many thanks to Gage and Grandma Susie for babysitting as well!!

Egg-cellent!

Abby had an egg-cellent time during two Easter egg hunts this year. This was the year that Abby got really into the Easter egg hunts.

On another note, next year I am determined to get her to wear a dress to the Easter Egg hunt. She is all about jeans and "beige" shorts right now! Here are some pics.....

Egg hunt #1 at Patch Reef Park with Boca/Delray mom's club:






Easter Egg Hunt Numero 2 in Palm Beach at the Flagler museum. We went to this one on a whim..... The Delray Hunt started at 8:30, so this was not happening, since Abby woke up late and I was on my own (Tye was working)... trying to get the two kiddos out the door by 8... not happening. So we ended up in Palm Beach. What a beautiful setting this turned out to be, as you can see!







The Easter bunny also brought Abby and Dean their baskets. We colored Easter eggs for the first time this year. I thought Abby would be really into it, as she has become very interested in markers and painting lately. She didn't last as long as I thought with egg coloring but would have gone to egg hunts all weekend ;)

Abby had her first dentist appointment. To my surprise and delight, Abby liked going and several times has said she wants "to go back again". Funny! The dentist's office has a jungle theme; she had a blast looking around and talking about all the animals that she saw. Abby sat in the chair for a long time and was very patient and compliant, chatting away the whole time. The dentist told me I should be very proud, as most kids her age have to go to another separate room. Nice! After the appointment, Abby gave me some big smiles which made for a couple of good pictures....
